Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
This policy explains what information Bethel School collects through homeworthschool.com, how it is used, and who can see it.
Visiting the website
You can read the public pages of this website without an account. We do not use advertising, tracking cookies or analytics services on these pages, and we do not ask visitors for personal information.
Staff accounts
The staff area is for Bethel School staff and administrators. Accounts are created by a school administrator; there is no public sign-up. For each account we store:
- name, email address and role;
- a securely scrambled (hashed) version of the password, never the password itself;
- sign-in records (time, IP address and browser type), used to keep accounts secure and to limit repeated sign-in attempts.
When you sign in, the website sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. It is used only for that purpose and is removed when you sign out or after 12 hours.
Sign in with Google
Staff may choose to sign in with their Google account. Google then shares your name, email address and Google account ID with this website. We use them only to match you to your existing staff account and sign you in. We do not request access to your Gmail, contacts, files or any other Google data, and a Google account that does not match a staff account cannot create one.
Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
School records
Authorized staff use the staff area to keep school records, such as student names, grades, birthdates and parent names, and teacher contact details. These records are visible only to signed-in staff whose role allows it, and are used only to run the school.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. The website is hosted by Netlify and its database by Neon; they store the data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.
Keeping and removing information
We keep account and school records while they are needed to run the school. When a staff member leaves, an administrator can disable or delete their account. To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or removed, please contact the school.
Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to the school office (see our Contact page).
